GREETINGS! We welcome you to the fellowship of Community Christian Center. We're a family that's committed to the greatest commandment, seeking to fulfill the great commission. We are glad for everyone who participates as a visitor or a regular in the life of this local church body. Our Sunday morning services are approximately 2 hrs. long. We worship the Lord with singing for the first 40 minutes or so and our children are in Sunday school during the 2^nd hour while the Pastor is delivering the message in the sanctuary.

MEETINGS THIS WEEK

SUNDAY: 9:30 AM MORNING WORSHIP SERVICE (Sanctuary)

Today is "Youth Emphasis Sunday". There will be a short children's

message for the youth up through 6^th grade and the Jr. & Sr. high school

students will remain in the service with us during the Sunday school

hour. Our nursery is available throughout the service for children under 2

years of age and two year olds are welcome, as the need arises, before the

classes begin.

Announcements

STEPPING STONES

   The Foundations I course that was scheduled to begin on Wednesday, August 4^th has been cancelled. The next Foundations I series will begin in January of 2011. Foundations I is the 2^nd step in the four-step “Stepping Stones” program that is required for active ministry involvement. The next Foundations II course, which is step 3, will be starting on Sunday, October 3^rd and the next “Discovering My Ministry” seminar, which is step 4, will be offered on Saturday, December 11^th. For more information on the Stepping Stones program see the orange brochures on the south foyer table.

WOMEN'S FELLOWSHIP LUNCHEON

   Janice Karcher and ladies from our Women's Bible Study group are inviting all of the ladies to a very special fellowship luncheon on Saturday, August 14^th from noon to 3 p.m. right here at C.C.C. Christian comedian Anita Renfroe will be the featured speaker, via DVD. Please RSVP by calling Janice at 567-232-2090 or Mindy Boes at 419-209-0223. A flyer has been posted with the details.

MIXED GOLF SCRAMBLE

   Rick North has made the arrangements for our big golf outing of the year at Lincoln Hills Golf Club. It will be a mixed scramble held on Saturday, August 21^st with a starting time of 9 a.m. The entry fee is $30 per person to cover the cost of 18 holes of golf with a cart and your lunch. Since it is a scramble, you don’t have to be a great golfer to have a lot of fun and you could even end up on the winning team. All of our golfers are welcome and you can bring your golfing friends and family members too. Registration will begin on July 25^th and you can either sign up as a foursome or as an individual. Other foursomes will be formed from the latter.

CHRISTIANS & CIVIL GOVERNMENT

   The Upper Sandusky Area Ministerial Association will be sponsoring the showing of David Barton’s DVD entitled, “The Role of Pastors and Clergy in Civil Government” at the U.S. Community Library on the evening of Tuesday, September 28^th. The voter registration deadline for the November 2^nd elections is the following Monday, October 4^th. Please pray for the success of this event, and that Christians will be motivated to get involved in the political process. More details will be given in the weeks ahead.
FINAL NOTES AND REMINDERS

1. Rick North is still looking for businesses that would be willing to donate prizes for this year's golf scramble. These prizes really add to the fun and it’s good advertisement too. Please let him know if you can help us in this way.

2. The Dance Team will not be meeting this month.

3. Community Bible Church will be presenting a Christian concert at the Renaissance Theatre in Mansfield on Friday, August 20^th at 7 p.m. A flyer has been posted with the details.

4. Nicole Johnson will be the featured speaker at Winebrenner's One-Day Women's Conference on Saturday, September 25^th. A flyer has been posted with the registration details
